 HIST RIVER VIEW GOLF CLUB (RVGC)

• RVGC is in north of Jhelum River and west of GT Road. The club with 9 Holes Course was estb on 18 Sep 1968. The club remained dormant till 1984 when it was reactivated under the chairmanship of Maj Gen Muhammad Sardar Khalid, then GOC Star Div. First meeting of club was held on 4 Aug 1985 under the chairmanship of Maj Gen M H Awan with a view to org the managing committee for smooth functioning of the club. subsequent management kept adding to it and made several improvements. The club was granted membership of PGF (Pakistan Golf Federation) and PGA (Pakistan Golf Association) during the yr 1985. In 1989, the club was upgraded to 18 Holes Course.
• In 2005 major upgradation of  golf club took place under the president ship of Brig Noel I. Khokhar (Now Maj Gen), where a lake, angling hut and view of hole no 15 was opened towards the river.
• This picturesque resort is well known for its splendour beauty and hospitality. It offers a blend of recreational facilities to its visitors like jogging track, river view as picnic spot, angling hut, boating, raft, guest rooms sitting rooms and family park. The beauty of this Golf Club presents marvelous scenery when the golden morning sun shines through the fruit laden orchards a fresh oranges. It is also an attractive heaven for golfers, who come to play golf.
